Beauty Is Deeper Than Fur

The Young Asher

When I was young people used to stop me on the street ’cause they thought I was good looking. I never understood why looks were so important.

I come from a mixed family. Some of my siblings are black and white, some are red. I was the only blue merle of the litter. I have a genetic condition that makes my brown color fade. It’s like when your dark hair bleaches out in the sun.

My people taught me the importance of good manners. But I can get away with bad behavior just because I’m cute and was born with two blue eyes. Isn’t that silly?  Imagine judging someone by their looks instead of what’s in their heart and how their butt smells. People can be so strange. Gotta run.

Politics

The Test

Tess won’t tell me if she’s a Democrat or Republican. I don’t really care one way or the other, I’d just like to know what she thinks. So I brought the Republican stuffie out of the toy box and placed it on her side. I thought if she was a Democrat the stuffie would work like an allergy test – she’d get all itchy and shake it off her. But you can see for yourself that she was real still and didn’t move a muscle. It’s okay if she’s a Republican. She can be a Democrat too. She just has to be nice about it. See ya.
