ASHERPARK
Asherpark is a sacred place where puppies grow up happy, wounded dogs regain their joy, and the people who care for them are reminded daily that love has no limitations.
Named for Asher, a very special Australian Shepherd, Asherpark has been home to many dogs – some chosen at birth, others rescued from abuse and neglect.
With Asher nervous dogs became calm, serious dogs playful, and wounded dogs learned how to trust again.
Ash died too young. His body betrayed him but his spirit stayed strong. As he took his last breath Ash licked everyone good-bye and stepped bravely into the great beyond.
With Ash as our inspiration we continue his work through BarkingProse – so all dogs can have their say.
WHY WE BARK
BarkingProse gives the Asherpark dogs a chance to have their say. They bark about the day’s events, their fears and joys, and mostly about each other.
Their barks range from quizzical to profound. Often silly, frequently touching, the dogs want you to see the world through their eyes.
Please spend a little time on our site. You can start with the daily post or go back in history to see how life at Asherpark has evolved.
Feel free to leave us a comment. The dogs are thrilled when someone writes to them!

Three dogs bark at me
Playful, and tinged with good cheer
Ash, Tess, Jack. Kudos.
If not for poop piles
This trio would be perfect
Tighten your drop zone!
Tormented by goats
Amused by flock of chickens
People best of all
Thanks for hanging out
You three fuzzy, barking mates
Love your company
